We’ve been on the west coast for several weeks and it’s time to check in. The fun factor has been as high as the weather has been spectacular! Riding at least five times a week is time consuming, but we have carved out time for some other activities as well.
Celebrating Roger’s birthday 🎉was one of the first orders of business. Dinner at CdM restaurant was terrific and there were enough leftovers for lunch too!

The sandcastle competition was fierce this year. The theme was Rock the Sand.

The beach was crowded and the surf was rough, in fact there were riptide warnings and advisories all week.

The Huntington Beach Air Show is usually a crowd pleaser. Last year it was a bust – we experienced terrible, cloudy misty weather for the entire three days and could not actually see any planes. This year the weather was glorious, and the Canadian stunt planes and their “fancy flights” were awesome.

I promised Unicorns…I will deliver! We found the elusive Halloween Unicorns in nearby neighborhoods.

Next up, a tandem weekend in Paso Robles, CA.

Sorry we missed you on this trip, but looks like a fabulous birthday celebration (Happy Birthday! 🥳), and the weather was perfect for your rides and air show. Have a fun time in Paso Robles–beautiful place. 🥰
We thought about you on our recent ride in Fl with the Simons. Rhonda Anderson
