The fun continues when John and Mitzi bring their coupled bike to SoCal on its maiden voyage. We ride 236 miles together, including a group ride that we organize for the local tandem club. Somebody’s got to do it.

A running race closes the usually busy Pacific Coast Highway to cars, but not to bikes.

We continue our traditions with Balboa Bananas and lots of sunsets.

Mitzi’s birthday celebration is at Crystal Cove’s Beachcomber.

A strong tailwind pushes us through Huntington Beach and all the way home on our last ride of the week.

We end an action-packed week with a visit to the Don The Beachcomber, where rockabilly guitar legend Deke Dickerson performs.

You can take the tandem rally planners out of Georgia, but then they just plan somewhere else! Looks like so much fun!
Love your clever pics and captions! Thanks for sharing another fun adventure – and with two other of our favorite folks.
You guyz DEFINITELY have got this “retirement thing” very well under control!
Fabulous pictures. Certainly hope John & I get to bike with you again. We’ve just returned from biking Cologne to Rome with our 2014 C2C buds.
We followed your trip with The Gillettes! Glad you had a fun time.
👍👍😎😎
Deke Dickerson!?!?. We’re the Ecco-Fonics with him?
Yes they were! It was a terrific hour of entertainment. Deke actually was the special guest and opened for a group of young men called The Cactus Blossoms! Thoroughly enjoyable.
